Registry(s)
Hi friends,
I've had a few people ask me if we have a gift registry. The answer is yes. We even have 2 (this seems greedy but it's actually so the prices are the lowest we could find). We put this information on the back of the invites (obviously a silly place to put it).
First, I feel I need to add a disclaimer here (or 3). 1. Please don't feel obliged or pressured in to giving us something. The purpose of these lists is so if people do want to give something they have some help knowing what would be helpful (plus hopefully it helps us avoid the 5 toaster situation). 2. if you'd like to give a gift don't feel like it has to be from these lists. 3. Some people think giving gift vouchers/giving financially is rude and unthoughtful, as 2 students, we are not 'those people' and would find that as equally (if not more) useful and thoughtful as steak knives. And I stress again, please don't feel the need to give anything, we really just want to enjoy the day in your company.
So here is the information for those who missed it and would find it useful:
1. Myer - we have a registry code: 623523. You can go to any Myer and give this number to the registry sales staff and they'll give you a list. You can also look the list up at: http://www.myer.com.au/bridal-gift-registry_find-a-registry.aspx , alternatively you can purchase things over the phone: 131 443
2. Peters of Kensington - a department store in Sydney. For those of you who can't get there they have an excellent online store. Go here: http://www.petersofkensington.com.au/GiftRegistry/GiftRegistry.aspx and put in Smart and November in the appropriate boxes.
So to all those who've asked - there is the info (check the back of your invites - it was there, I promise).
Thanks for wanting to help and be generous. We appreciate it.

Welcome
Hello friends and family,
I havent posted anything here yet because I'm still not convinced having a wedding blog is not completely nerdy or self-obsessed. Well, it's a blog so I guess it's both those things..., but it's useful for providing you all with information (especially if this rain hangs around and there is a change in venue. Praying for sunshine!), or about dress code (I will try to upload some pictures to help you) and other helpful things, like a map to the venue, etc etc. Plus now there is less than a month to go (yep, exciting, especially doing all those things one does before getting married like picking tableclothes and measuring extension cords...) I felt I should start using the blog since it was mentioned on the invites. Anyway, if you want to check here every now and then over the next few weeks i'll (or we'll) keep you posted!
Thanks,
M&M

Watch this space for news of Changes to Wedding Plans
In the event of wet weather - even in the days before the wedding - we'll be moving the wedding from Harvey's backyard to Mitchelton Presbyterian Church. We'll announce the change here in the few days before the wedding.
